DermTV How to Treat Under Breast Rashes Infections DermTV Epi 190

Music Hello, I'm Dr. Neal Schultz pause and welcome to DermTV. Rashes under the breast tend to occur if the skin of the lower part of the breast lies flat against the skin below the breast. That tends to happen at a certain time in life whether it's from age, gravity, from having had children or just from the way that you're built. Whether you know it or not, your skin perspires all the time but when skin lies flat against another layer of skin that perspiration or sweat can't evaporate and.

Moisture accumulates. When moisture accumulates in closed areas, like skin against skin, it promotes the growth of bacteria and other germs and that creates odors and that can lead to infections. The most common infections that occur in this context, on the under part of the breast, are yeast infections and bacterial infections. To help prevent this, very simply, after you shower treat this area with the same antiperspirant that you use under your arms. If that's not effective at sufficiently decreasing the sweating, then take a thin piece of cotton material and place that thin.

Piece of material under and in the fold below the breast on both sides to help absorb moisture. If you actually do develop a rash below your breast usually it manifests as itchy little red bumps with some oozing. Usually this is very uncomfortable. It's probably a yeast infection and the best way to treat it is with milk and water compresses and the instructions, for those is discussed in DermTV Episode 15. In addition, over the counter Mikonazol lotion applied very lightly two or three times a day, will often.

DermTV Very Itchy Fingers, a.k.a. Dishydrosis DermTV Epi '6

Hello, I'm Dr. Neal Schultz pause And welcome to DermTV. This may be the season for itchy skin, but chances are if it's your fingers that are itching, it's not because they're dry. Most of the time, itchy fingers are caused by a condition called Dishydrosis and the itch it causes can really drive you crazy. And it's not just itching that Dishydrosis causes You actually get little bumps on the bottom and sides of your fingers. And the bumps are actually tiny blisters. Dishydrosis literally means, bad sweating, and it used to be thought that these crazily itchy bumps.

Were filled with sweat. That's why it was named Dishydrosis. But the fluid isn't sweat it's actually serum, which is the clear fluid in your blood. The most common cause of Dishydrosis is extreme stress, although not every outbreak can be linked directly to a stressful situation. On a personal note, I can tell you that I've only experienced Dishydrosis once in my life. It was early in my medical training after a very stressful night of being up all night taking care of a lot of very sick patients. The next morning the hospital dermatologist was making rounds.

And I showed him my hands, and he said, Boy you must have had a really rough night. So. The itching and bumps both finally go away after a few days. As it gets better, there are these really interesting telltale little collars of dead flaky skin that peel off. Those tiny matchhead size collars of dead skin get larger. and then smaller. over a few days and are caused by the bubble of serum as it rises through the higher levels of the epidermis. It's like taking horizontal slices through a sphere.

Starting tiny at the bottom, then getting larger, and finally smaller again. To treat the itching and bumps, topical cortisone creams and antiitch lotions with menthol are best. If that doesn't stop the itch, cold water can usually give temporary relief, but never try to stop the itching with hot water. Even though hot water feels good and stops the itch, it also causes the itch to come back worse a few minutes later. After the itch and bumps are gone, the flaking skin can continue for a week. It can be camouflaged with a moisturizer,.

Gentle music Laci Oh hi, everyone! Throughout the last ten years I've had so many vaginal issues that I'm basically a certified hacker now. ding Before I get started sharing some ancient remedies and twenty first century lifesavers just a little reminder. I'm gonna be talking about vaginal infections and stuff and sometimes the symptoms of those are actually symptoms of things that are much more serious. So, yay, love your vagina and go to the doctor when you need to. First step, when yeast gets a little outta control.

Why yes, I am about to suggest that you put garlic in your vagina. I know it sounds weird but it seriously works so well. Just push in a whole clove. Don't puncture it or will burn and change that baby every twelve hours. Usually within three to five days my yeast infections are gone. Yeah, it can leave a little bit of a smell but who doesn't like garlic bread The vagina's a pocket so it's not gonna get lost but if you're worried, you can tie some floss to it so.

That you can easily pull it out. For pain relief, I put plain yogurt twith live active cultures into the fingers of a latex glove and then freeze it. Look for yogurt with the least amount of sugar that you can find 'cause yeast loves sugar and when you pull it out of the freezer you'll have these delightful, mumbling yogurt tampons. Pop one in overnight with a pad to catch the leakage. Next up, UTIs. I know, I know you've heard it before but seriously, hydration is so freaking important.

Try to be drinking a little water all day long. Second, secret weapon is DMannose. You can get this at a supplement store and I take two capsules three times a day for five days while drinking lots of water. Continue taking it a few days even after the symptoms have gone. I've also had good results with probiotics for bladder pain and take a good quality hibacteria count probiotic every day and it keeps the good bacteria in balance all over my body. Now, these are especially important for anyone who's on antibiotics.

I really wish the doctor told me that. Lastly, what would a vagina tutorial be without discussing periods I am a firm believer that every single vagina owner should be tracking their cycle. And my favorite app to that is called Clue. I randomly came across it and I love the gender neutral interface and the clean, simple design. It's super easy to use. It helped me figure out that this pain I was feeling was ovulation pain. It also tells me the exact day my period will start, when I'm gonna have symptoms,.

When I'm fertile for babymakin'. Totally recommend it. I'll put the link down below. I always break out on my periods which is annoying, and it can hurt, and I found that tea tree oil really helps to soothe my skin. I just put a little dab on my zits before bed and in the morning they're gone or way less inflamed. For cramps, I'm a huge fan of heating pads. They help so much and I really like the ones that you can strap on on the go. You can get these heating pads literally anywhere.

Burning Urination Is It Caused By A Yeast Infection

Hi there, Eric Bakker, naturopath, author of Candida Crusher. Another question. Burning urination, is it caused by a Candida yeast infection It could well be. I've associated many cases of burning urination with yeast infections. Dysuria or burning urination can be as a consequence of a urinary tract infection more commonly, which could be bacterial in origin. So the smartest thing for you to do would be to go to your doctor and go and get checked out. Have a urine test first to see what organisms are present there in the urine to see if it can be cultured, whether it's bacterial or.

Yeast. A smear test may also be quite appropriate in this case. So there could be various things involved in burning urination, but you need to get checked out if it's recurring. Burning urination, drink more water. Make up a nice tea from some real cranberries instead of that drink that you buy full of sugar. These are clever things to do with dysuria. So to answer your question, is it yeast Get checked out first. Make sure what you're dealing with, whether it's bacterial or fungal, and that will give you a good idea on what to.

Treat once you've got your results back. Generally if these problems are acute and don't occur too often and are selflimiting, you can treat them at home. But if you have recurrent burning urination, then you'll certainly need a treatment. My book, Candida Crusher, explains a lot more about treatments which are going to help you considerably with various urinary disorders. So certainly get a copy and have a look. So I hope that answers your question. Get checked out first and I'm going to do some other YouTube clips on what to do with situations like burning urination. Thank you.

How To Get Rid Yeast Infection at Home

If you are prone to frequent yeast infections, be more selective when choosing your undergarments. Synthetic materials can trap moisture and heat by your skin, which can create the perfect place for bacteria and yeast to grow. Stay with organic and natural fabrics like silk and cotton, which absorb moisture and keep you dry. Wash the vaginal area using a soap that is made for that area. There are several on the market. These types of soaps can help keep a healthy flora balance within the vagina. Using these over regular soaps will help prevent a yeast infection.

To help prevent yeast infections, try to destress your life. Stress hampers how well the immune system works and that can make it less effective at dealing with infections during your day to day life. To decrease your risk of getting a yeast infection, make sure you dry yourself thoroughly after showers. Water and moisture can cause yeast infections. In fact, they are two of the main reasons. Yeast can not grow if there is no water or moisture. If this is your first yeast infection, make sure you seek help from your doctor first.

It can be a difficult time when you experience your first yeast infection. Only a physician can properly diagnose yeast infections and ensure that you don't have a more serious disorder. Do not purchase clothes with synthetic fibers. Synthetic fibers make it difficult for air to circulate and allow heat and moisture to escape. This can lead to the development of a yeast infection. Stick with natural clothes in order to prevent yeast infections. A woman's vagina is extremely sensitive and becomes unbalanced very easily. When the pH in your vagina gets out of balance, a yeast infection can quickly present itself. Luckily,.

Unna Killer whale dies at SeaWorld park in San Antonio

An 18yearold killer whale has died at the SeaWorld park in San Antonio, the park said on Tuesday, raising concern among animal groups that have criticized the company for years over its treatment of captive marine mammals. The female whale, named Unna, was the third whale to die at the Texas park in six months. SeaWorld said in a statement that Unna died on Monday from a resistant strain of a fungus called Candida. The killer whale, or orca, had been treated by experts from around the country, it added. While there were some indications that the treatment was having a positive effect, Unna.

Had remained in serious condition and under 247 care, SeaWorld said, adding that a necropsy will be conducted. SeaWorld has faced heated criticism and declining revenues since the release of the 2013 documentary film Blackfish, which depicted the captivity and public exhibition of killer whales as inherently cruel. The film, which SeaWorld has criticized as inaccurate and misleading, also explored the circumstances leading to the 2010 death of a top SeaWorld trainer, who was pulled underwater and drowned by an orca she had performed with in Florida. SeaWorld in San Diego recently announced plans to suspend its live whale shows. But the other.

Can I Get A Yeast Infection From Dirty Gym Equipment

Good day there, Eric Bakker, naturopath, author of Candida Crusher with another question I get asked from time to time. Can I get a yeast infection from dirty gym equipment I've been getting a few of these dirty questions lately. Can I get an infection from a dirty towel Can I get an infection from a dirty toilet seat or dirty gym equipment or dirty Jacuzzis or dirty whatever I think it's important for you to look at the fact that you need to understand it's not about catching illness from something. It's about building up your resistance so.

You don't become susceptible to different diseases. There are always paranoid people that walk around not touching handles of doors, not willing to walk around airports or public places in fear of disease. So fear is not a good thing. People that have got strong, powerful, vibrant immune systems don't usually get sick. It's the weak people, the susceptible people that get sick. I often draw a line on a piece of paper when I get a new patient in and explain that we've got susceptibility on one side and we've got resistance on the other. So when this seesaw.

Becomes tipped, for example, once resistance increases susceptibility drops. And once susceptibility increases resistance drops. And the little triangle here in the middle, the fulcrum, I write the word stress on that triangle. And we've also got things that push the triangle one way or the other. So stress, for example, not sleeping enough, smoking and drinking alcohol, arguing with people or being angry, these are all what I call health busters. And these things decrease your resistance by increasing your susceptibility. They reduce your immune system's power. Health builders, on the other hand, are things you do to nourish and build health. Eating.

Good foods, getting enough sleep, being at peace with yourself and other people, exercising, drinking pure water, breathing nice and slowly and deeply, meditating, relaxing these are all health building events that are going to increase your resistance. So I think these are important concepts which I'd rather you look at than living in a constant fear of catching some kind of disease. It's not a good thing. Medicine's full of fear. We're told if we don't get injections and vaccines all the time or take drugs, we're going to get sick. So I tend to call this the sick building business.

I can't see why they call it the health care business. So you need to think carefully about those concepts. Taking drugs is not the answer to getting better. The answer's in your hand by increasing your resistance and decreasing your susceptibility. So don't live in fear of catching disease. All right So I hope that answers your question. What was your question again Can I get an infection from dirty gym equipment You potentially could but you wouldn't exercise on equipment that's dirty that you would have a concern about anyway. And remember don't live in the fear factor. It's not a good way.
