Gentle music Laci Oh hi, everyone! Throughout the last ten years I've had so many vaginal issues that I'm basically a certified hacker now. ding Before I get started sharing some ancient remedies and twenty first century lifesavers just a little reminder. I'm gonna be talking about vaginal infections and stuff and sometimes the symptoms of those are actually symptoms of things that are much more serious. So, yay, love your vagina and go to the doctor when you need to. First step, when yeast gets a little outta control.
Why yes, I am about to suggest that you put garlic in your vagina. I know it sounds weird but it seriously works so well. Just push in a whole clove. Don't puncture it or will burn and change that baby every twelve hours. Usually within three to five days my yeast infections are gone. Yeah, it can leave a little bit of a smell but who doesn't like garlic bread The vagina's a pocket so it's not gonna get lost but if you're worried, you can tie some floss to it so.
That you can easily pull it out. For pain relief, I put plain yogurt twith live active cultures into the fingers of a latex glove and then freeze it. Look for yogurt with the least amount of sugar that you can find 'cause yeast loves sugar and when you pull it out of the freezer you'll have these delightful, mumbling yogurt tampons. Pop one in overnight with a pad to catch the leakage. Next up, UTIs. I know, I know you've heard it before but seriously, hydration is so freaking important.
Try to be drinking a little water all day long. Second, secret weapon is DMannose. You can get this at a supplement store and I take two capsules three times a day for five days while drinking lots of water. Continue taking it a few days even after the symptoms have gone. I've also had good results with probiotics for bladder pain and take a good quality hibacteria count probiotic every day and it keeps the good bacteria in balance all over my body. Now, these are especially important for anyone who's on antibiotics.
I really wish the doctor told me that. Lastly, what would a vagina tutorial be without discussing periods I am a firm believer that every single vagina owner should be tracking their cycle. And my favorite app to that is called Clue. I randomly came across it and I love the gender neutral interface and the clean, simple design. It's super easy to use. It helped me figure out that this pain I was feeling was ovulation pain. It also tells me the exact day my period will start, when I'm gonna have symptoms,.
When I'm fertile for babymakin'. Totally recommend it. I'll put the link down below. I always break out on my periods which is annoying, and it can hurt, and I found that tea tree oil really helps to soothe my skin. I just put a little dab on my zits before bed and in the morning they're gone or way less inflamed. For cramps, I'm a huge fan of heating pads. They help so much and I really like the ones that you can strap on on the go. You can get these heating pads literally anywhere.
How Can I Get Instant Relief Form Vaginal Yeast Infections
Good day there, Eric Bakker, naturopath, author of Candida Crusher. Here's a question I've got from a lady in Texas, a Mrs. Wright from Texas. And her question is Eric, how can I get instant relief from vaginal thrush Well, there are a couple of tricks and tips I'll give you in this tutorial that are certainly going to help you. Many woman complain of vaginal thrush three to four days prior to their period. You can have vaginal thrush at any time during your menstrual cycle, but it's more prevalent before the cycle. And if you're a female and you have recurring.
Vaginal yeast infections, you can probably well relate to what I'm saying here. So if you think about this for a moment, there's a couple of things I'm going to tell you that make a lot of sense and I'd like you to follow these suggestions. Leading up to the period, about a week or 10 days prior, why don't you start reducing consumption of alcohol, chocolate, sweet foods, candies, biscuits or cookies, things like this, or cut those foods out of the diet as much as you can. Make some changes. Get more.
Rest. Drink plenty of water. Maybe have some green juice in your diet. Start making some changes also to the way that you work and you relax. So sleep a little bit more, rest up a bit more, take it a bit easier in your life. These things are going to make it easier for you to cope with if you do get any aggravations. When it comes to the treatment, it's also good for you to maybe avoid sexual relations for a little while prior to your period as well because this could irritate the area.
And make you much more prone to having the vaginal thrush. If you look at these sort of factors, this is going to reduce the aggravation, which means that there will be less need for strong treatment. There are different cleansing approaches you can use. And one I'd like to recommend you try is to get some Calendula tincture. So Calendula officinalis is an herb which we use, an antifungal, and I think it works very well indeed. And I've written about this in my book in Chapter 5 in Candida Crusher written about Calendula. Go to your herbalist and.
Get a low alcohol concentration Calendula tincture, a high quality one, and use it at the rate of about a dessertspoon per small bowl of lukewarm water for cleansing. This is going to work quite nicely before the period. So women tell me these things work quite well. Others are colloidal silver, adding a teaspoon of this per small quantity of water for cleansing a good quality apple cider vinegar, not the commercial one, but a good organic pasteurized product like Braggs is a good quality, for example, or try the Calendula tincture. These are good approaches to use premenstrually.
In my book, I talk about a cleansing stage you do before the period, a kill stage, and then a build stage after the period. And this makes a lot of sense. And if you do that for three menstrual cycles in a row, you're going to get good relief, particularly if you follow the instructions in my book Chapter 7, Section 5, the lifestyle section. If you read that and implement that plus also do the acute measures that we spoke about, you're going to get a lot of relief.
How Many Days After My Period is Ovulation
How many days after my period is ovulation I need to know. Ovulation is half way through the average cycle. Is that half way based on first bleeding or when I stop bleeding or what Day one is when the lining starts to shed. AKA, it is really obvious once you start bleeding. You stop bleeding anywhere from day three to day seven. Obviously you do not ovulate at that point. Ovulation can occur anywhere from day 10 to day 24. So on a day 14, that is two days after my period started, is when I ovulate.
Right. And ovulation will be seven to ten days after your period ended, on average, depending on how long it lasts. Ovulation is not always on day 14. So track your menstrual cycle, and you'll figure out which day is half way. Except that you said it could be half way plus or minus a couple days. On a 30 day cycle, 3 days is a ten percent margin of error, while the egg only lasts one. You will see changes to indicate when you ovulated, such as the cervical mucus changing.
I hardly even notice it except when bleeding or fish smelling. A fish smell means you have a yeast infection. Bleeding usually means you have your period, an STD with lesions causing bleeding or, for only a few, dried blood drops because your ovary released a little blood when the egg came out. But a few drops of blood on the panties can also mean an embryo implanted. You'll ovulate between day 13 and day 15 for most women, counting from the day your period started. An embryo implanting will be three to seven days after that.
So a few drops of blood a few days before my period is due means I'm pregnant. It might mean you are pregnant, or you used too much douche or half a dozen other reasons. And anything but pregnancy and feminine hygiene is bad. You'll ovulate a week to a week and a half after your period ends, but I'd say the cervical mucus turning clear and watery instead of thick and gooey or your BBT going up is a better indicator than a calendar. What is BBT BBT stands for basal body temperature, your body temperature at rest. It spikes the day.
Does Stress Cause Yeast Infections
Good day, Eric Bakker here again with another frequently asked question regarding yeast infection. Does stress cause yeast infections Stress causes many different problems in the body, many different problems, and a good way for you probably to look at it from this angle is that about 90 percent of all visits to the doctor are because of a stressrelated complaint. So stress has an amazingly insidious effect on the immune system. In the initial stages of stress when a person's under high stress, they will have heightened hormone response they'll have more cortisol and more adrenaline, in particular. The adrenals are going to pump.
Out more of these hormones to allow you to cope with the acute manifestations of stress. However, once stress continues unabated, you keep having these problems long term, relationship problems or money problems, many different types of issues that face us on a daytoday basis. When they become chronic and longterm, even though low grade, they'll have a depleting effect on the adrenal system, what we call the HPA stress excess. And over time, these hormones actually will not only decrease in quantity, but their activity will decrease in the body. The cells become less responsive requiring even more hormones to be pumped.
Out and produced. Over a period of time, it's just not really going to happen and you slowly slide into a condition we call adrenal fatigue. I'm going to explain a lot more about the adrenalyeast connection in other tutorials. But stress is certainly implicated with yeast infections. How do you know that yeast infections are caused by stress If you take a look at my book, I think it's page 469 in my book. You can read a lot more about the adrenal stress connection with immunity. Have a look at the other type of problems that you may be facing.
Like fatigue, insomnia, irritability, in particular. There are different ways that stress can affect you in terms of a yeast infection. First thing I would ask you, what type of stresses have you faced in the past several years Can you remember any stressful events which preceded the diagnosis of this yeast infection, for example There's often a link there. If you think carefully, you'll find a connection there. So as cortisol goes down further and further, it's going to be harder for your immune system to stay strong, which will increase your susceptibility and reduce.
Your resistance. I generally draw a line for a patient when I see them to explain this concept, and I'll put susceptibility on one side and resistance on the other side, and I'll draw a little triangle here in the middle. As your susceptibility decreases, your resistance goes up. And vice versa will happen. When this goes down, this goes up. As things are getting harder for you to cope with and you become more stressed, your resistance goes down and your susceptibility will come up. I call these events contributing to that health busters. Health builders are things you can.
Oh hi! As you may have noticed, your vagina does not come with an owner's manual. Although, I can tell you that would have been really helpful and saved me a lot of infections growing up. Vaginas work basically like this. It's like a little ecosystem. It maintains and cleans itself. The actual vagina, the inside, you never have to clean in there. And you don't ever want to put anything in there. Well, nothing to clean in there. That includes douches, soaps, bleach. squeals What all that stuff does is go all up in there,.
And it bleep everything up. And the vagina has good bacteria that keeps you clean and healthy. By introducing soap or douching, you kill off that good bacteria, and you can mess up the delicate pH balance of the vagina, which can cause a yeast infection or also something called bacterial vaginosis, which is characterized by a fishy smell. You can also get urinary tract infections from getting soap around your rurethra, your urethra. Yeah, I can talk! So, any time you see the soap, it's coming towards your vagina, you say, Get away, soap!.
We are not cool, be gone! Now, in terms of keeping the outside clean, the proper way to clean your vulva is to gently spread your labia or the lips, and then use some warm water and your hand to gently rub between the folds and clear off all the sweat and bacteria. So, you mean I shouldn't use shampoo No. What about shaving cream Only on the hair part. What about toothpaste That's for your teeth. Oh yeah. Vaginas are not nearly as dirty as people think they are. You want dirty.
Probe someone's mouth. Warm water, your hands, a washcloth, or a loofah. That's all you need to stay clean. I swear on my vagina! I think a lot of the reason why people scrub vigorously with soap is because they want it to smell really good. They're selfconscious about when someone goes down on them. But in most cases, you don't gotta trip. It's normal for the vagina to have a mild scent. Every vagina smells different. The only time you need to worry is if it smells pungent or really strong,.
Because that could be telling you you have an infection. If you're still feeling selfconscious about someone going down on you, just take a little dab of your favorite perfume, and put it between your thighs. And then there's the question of discharge. Discharge, that clear or milky white stuff that comes out of your vagina throughout the month, that is your vagina's cleaning process. The color, consistency, and quantity of discharge throughout the month will change, but only subtly. You wake up in the morning with a rainbow in your panties,.
There's probably something up. I always think it's funny when my partner thinks that I'm really turned on, but it's actually just discharge. But I mean, for all intents and purposes, it works the same way. Now, some parting wisdomish. I have found the vagina trifecta. They are cotton undies, garlic, and yogurt. Wearing cotton undies allows your vagina to breathe. I mean, you like breathing, right So does your vagina. I'll wear other types of undies, too, but I'll try to make sure to wear mostly cotton. I also try to incorporate lots of garlic.
10 SECRET VAGINA FACTS
What bleeds every month without dying, produces pleasure, and can push out entire human beings It's the one, the only, vagina. Oh hi babes, here are ten little known facts about the almighty vagina. The vagina is like a sock. You can put feet in it! I'm just kidding, don't put feet in it, unless. Anyway, the vagina is a pathway of muscles that's flat when there's nothing in it. Also like a sock, there's a top that stops things from getting lost. Here's my PlayDoh vagina. At the top of the vagina is the cervix.
Which looks like a little doughnut and has a tiny little hole called the os. Not a whole lot can get through that hole. Sperm can get in, blood can get out, or your period. The hole can get big to let fetuses out but other than that, it's pretty solid. Vagina is Latin for sheath or sword holder. Can you guess what sword it's referring to Just like the penis, vaginas get erections too! When you're aroused, blood rushes down to all your happy bits and your genitals and the cervix and the uterus actually.
Lift up a little bit, usually a couple inches. This causes the vagina to lengthen and your vagina can expand up to 200 percent when you're turned on. The power of the horny, people. You may have heard that the hymen needs to be broken but that's not true. The hymen, or vaginal corona is a thin membrane that's leftover from when the vagina is being formed before you're born. That membrane sits near the opening of the vagina and it doesn't pop, break, tear, and it should not bleed. They're also really fun because they come.
In all kinds of shapes and configurations! Vaginas share properties with sharks. When you're turned on, tiny glands produce a few drops of natural lubrication. That lubrication contains a substance called squalene which is also found in shark livers. That's right, if you want, it can be shark week every week. The gspot is actually the internal clitoris. The gspot sits about two inches inside the vagina on the wall closest to your belly button, like this. You're basically hitting the little legs of the clitoris. There's also some sensitive tissue around the urethra,.
Your peehole, which is right above it. That's why gspot stimulation might feel really nice, but also like ehh, am I gonna pee on you right now Vagina dentata, or vagina with teeth, aren't far from reality. Castration fears come to life in all kinds of ancient folklore about vaginas that have teeth. Now there haven't been any documented cases of vaginas that have teeth. However, there have been documented cases of teeth in ovaries and teeth in uteruses, uteri. These are called cystic teratomas and they're basically the result of stem cells.
Winding up in places that they should not be. Only 25 percent of women orgasm with their vagina. The average understanding of sex is that penis in vagina equals orgasm, but that's not nearly the full story. Only about 25 percent of women reliably experience orgasm with vaginal penetration. The clitoris, the outside of it, is much more likely to get you to the happy place. About one in 5,000 female babies is born without a vagina. It's called vaginal agenesis and it happens when the vagina fails to fully form in utero.
Most of the time this isn't discovered until the person's in their teens but luckily there's treatment for it if they want. Feeling more confident about your vagina can help to improve orgasm. As women get older they report having more satisfying sex. One of the key reasons for this is that the women have more experience and they're more confident with their vajayjay. So don't be shy, vaginas are one of the most powerful parts of the human body. Here's your daily reminder to give it the love and credit that it deserves.
Cervical Mucus Just Before Period Starts
I want to know what to expect in cervical mucus just before period starts. Your cervical mucus alternates between clear, watery and flowing when ovulating to sticky, white and gooey during normal times. And it gets overwhelmed by menstrual fluid when I have my period. So what does it normally look like right before I have my period If you are about to not have your period due to pregnancy, you'll probably see heavy mucus and even solid masses. Solid masses and really heavy cervical mucus can also be a sign of a sexually transmitted.
Disease. If the cervical mucus is yellow, green or really smelly, you have an infection at best, it is severe yeast overgrowth. I know what that smells like. If you are healthy, then the cervical mucus will start to dry out before your period starts, since the body does not want to waste material when you're about to shed. I've heard there were other signs if I was pregnant. If you were pregnant, you might see drops of blood mixed in with the cervical mucus when the embryo implants. Or not, since it may not be enough to notice.
The lack of a period is something I'd notice. The cervical mucus typically becomes drier, stickier and thicker right before your period. It is normally, sticky and thick. Fine, more of the same. What happens after my period starts It becomes dry or you find no mucus at all, just menstrual shedding. After your period ends, the white cervical mucus starts up, which can make your mix pinkish. I'd say this sounds disgusting, but then I saw what newborn diapers looked like. The only standard effect is clear, watery and clear mucus when you are ovulating, unless.
You have health problems interfering with ovulation. Or contraception that interferes with it. Depending on what you're using for contraception, that can happen. Injectables can kill your period, ovulation and all cervical mucus changes. I am ovulating with my contraceptive method. Then you'll see heavier mucus after you ovulate, usually white in color and thicker than it was before you ovulated. Anything else I might notice If you do not see much difference in consistency, you may still see differences in the volume, which usually drops off right before your period.
Can Fecal Transplant Cause Chronic Candida
Greetings. New Zealand naturopath, Eric Bakker. I'm the author of Candida Crusher and I'm also the formulator of a range of products called Canxida. Thanks for checking out my tutorial. A question here from a person called Tetrid Monafa in Kenya. I'm not sure if Tetrid is male or female, but I'll just use the word Tetrid. Tetrid is asking me if fecal transplants can cause chronic Candida. That's the question, Can fecal transplant cause chronic Candida I'll tell you a little bit about fecal transplants. I had the good fortune a few years ago to.
Be in Sydney at a function, I had dinner with Dr. Tom Borody, and in fact a few doctors that were there. And I remember speaking about fecal transplants and Tom's clinic was the one, in fact, that pioneered fecal transplants. Back in the mid1980s Tom worked with patients, I think it might have been with clostridium difficile with a particular infection and trialed this method, which has become highly successful. The Center for Digestive Diseases is a world famous clinic. The top people from all around the world with many chronic digestive.
Problems. They've got some incredibly passionate and talented doctors that work in this clinic. One of the doctors I spoke with said to me that when they first did the fecal transplants, they put a lot of people through the program and they had a pilot project with about 10 or 15 patients. The procedure worked very, very well. But the doctor said in nearly all cases, the patients would come back within 8 to 12 months with the same problem. The treatment was a success, but the longterm outcome failed because the patient didn't stay with the right kind of protocol, lifestyle,.
And diet to maintain digestive wellness. That's not what the tutorial is about. The tutorial is can fecal transplants cause chronic Candida. It can't really cause chronic Candida. What it can do, though, is change the gut macrobiotic environment significantly. It can make you feel pretty darn good. And if you keep working on that wellness, you can really improve your health to a very high level. The problem I have with fecal transplants is they don't really do anything for the small intestine because you're putting fecal matter from a healthy person into a person who's unwell. It's going to change the colonic environment,.
But it's pretty hard to get bugs past the ileocecal valve or the oneway valve linking the small intestine with the large intestine. This is why it's very important for the patient to make the right kind of dietary choices. Because you're putting all the good nourishment in from the top, which is going to influence everything down below. If you eat properly, have fermented and cultured foods, have the pre and probiotic foods that we've spoken about in tutorials, if you chew your foods properly, if you take a good probiotic.
For a period of time, particularly with some enzymes with it, if you every now and then take some antifungalantibacterial supplement and some foods, you'll keep that gut environment clean. And that, in turn, will mean that you won't really get a chronic yeast infection to a very high degree, very high probability you won't. But I don't really see any clear link between fecal transplants and chronic Candida. I see a clear link between incredible wellness. In fact, one of my patients from London, a woman in her 20s, had an incredible outcome with fecal transplant. But it only lasted.
