DermTV How to Treat Under Breast Rashes Infections DermTV Epi 190
Music Hello, I'm Dr. Neal Schultz pause and welcome to DermTV. Rashes under the breast tend to occur if the skin of the lower part of the breast lies flat against the skin below the breast. That tends to happen at a certain time in life whether it's from age, gravity, from having had children or just from the way that you're built. Whether you know it or not, your skin perspires all the time but when skin lies flat against another layer of skin that perspiration or sweat can't evaporate and.
Moisture accumulates. When moisture accumulates in closed areas, like skin against skin, it promotes the growth of bacteria and other germs and that creates odors and that can lead to infections. The most common infections that occur in this context, on the under part of the breast, are yeast infections and bacterial infections. To help prevent this, very simply, after you shower treat this area with the same antiperspirant that you use under your arms. If that's not effective at sufficiently decreasing the sweating, then take a thin piece of cotton material and place that thin.
Piece of material under and in the fold below the breast on both sides to help absorb moisture. If you actually do develop a rash below your breast usually it manifests as itchy little red bumps with some oozing. Usually this is very uncomfortable. It's probably a yeast infection and the best way to treat it is with milk and water compresses and the instructions, for those is discussed in DermTV Episode 15. In addition, over the counter Mikonazol lotion applied very lightly two or three times a day, will often.
Why is My Belly Button Brown After Pregnancy
Why is my belly button brown after pregnancy Maybe you have not had enough time after having a newborn to properly clean out all the lint. I have to bathe more than once a day because the baby peed, puked, pooped or put some other bodily fluid on me. If you just had the baby, the linea negra or dark line may not have faded yet. What causes that Linea negra is a dark line on the abdomen and even belly button you get due to all the melanin inducing hormones during pregnancy, sometimes causing dark splotches on the face.
And dark nipples too. I did not get a dark line like that. Around three quarters of women do get it, and it could lead to a dark belly button until all those hormones flush out once the baby is born. The kid is out and about, trying to roll around the floor. Remember that pregnancy stretches the abdomen immensely. That's where stretch marks come from it is bruising of the skin from the pregnancy. It is actually scarring. Even body builders can get stretch marks, also known as permanent scars, from growing their muscles too fast.
So you think my belly button is scarred. The skin underneath it is, yes, which could leave it brown even after it goes back to being an innie from being an outie during the pregnancy. After all, if it had to pop out to make room for the baby, discoloration afterward is reasonable. What can I do about it During pregnancy, you can try to fight fluid retention and weight gain beyond what is healthy so the body does not stretch too much. Moisturizers can help reduce it, but you cannot reverse.
It. A lot of beauty creams would say otherwise. But you're asking me what to do about it. If it is not linea negra that is going to fade by six months post partum, it is scarring that won't. Then you think skin lightening cream won't make a difference. Tanning would make more of a difference. The white lines left under the folds of flesh would make it look weirder. Try washing the skin with soap and water and making sure it dries thoroughly, just in case the dark patches are due to fungal or yeast infections of the skin.
Is A Yeast Infection Possible While Breast Feeding
Good day, Eric Bakker again from Candida Crusher, another FAQ. This one's number 24. Is a yeast infection possible while breastfeeding and what are the best ways to tackle a yeast infection if I am breastfeeding Well, you can still breastfeed. It shouldn't make any difference at all if you're going to breastfeed and you do have a yeast infection, and it certainly shouldn't be a reason for you to stop breastfeeding either. A good advice for you is to include plenty of the foods which have an antifungal effect, including garlic, coconut, oregano products, these are.
All antifungal. I don't like women taking antibiotics when breastfeeding. It can have quite a serious effect on the child. You can pass the drug through the breast milk and create a lot of gut issues and leaky gut and food allergies in the baby, and I've seen this on numerous occasions. So please refrain from antibiotics when breastfeeding. You'll just aggravate the baby and make it a lot worse for yourself. So it's best to tackle quite a strong kill and dietary program when you're not breastfeeding, but you can still maintain breastfeeding, have the right kind of foods, which reduce.
The yeast population, but you'll need to be careful taking certain dietary supplements when breastfeeding. And if in doubt, just ask your naturopathic physician. He certainly should be able to help you. Some good breastfeeding foods include tahini, avocado, flax seed oil is another good one, Omega3, so highfat foods are quite good, they're very nourishing for the baby and help to calm and relax the child. High protein foods are good as well. I can't see any reason why you should abstain from chili or garlic. Many people say not to have cabbage. These.
Yeast Infection Candidiasis Causes, symptoms and treatment
Hey everyone! You are now watching The Naked Truth. Where we take one of your questions About sex and your body and give you a straightforward answer. I'm Shalpa, and let's get started. So today's question comes from a nineteenyearold from indistinct I have severe itching around my vagina and I'm getting burning discharge. My friend said it's a yeast infection, But is this an STD I've never had sex. So from what it sounds like, you do have candidiasis, commonly known as a yeast infection. a fungus that grows in warm in moist places of the skin, such as.
Your mouth or your vagina So normally, a woman's vagina already has yeast. However, if there's some sort of imbalance, this can lead to a buildup of excess yeast, which then results in white and odorless discharge, burning when you pee, and severe itchiness. But don't worry! This is not an STI sexually transmitted infection. It is an infection very common amongst women. So go ahead and consult a doctor to make sure that it is indeed a yeast infection, and he or she will give you some cream or some pills to have it cleared up in no time.
Best Way to Get Rid of Brown Spots on Your Face
What is the best way to get rid of brown spots on your face I suppose getting a good tan to turn all brown isn't a viable solution. I'm more likely to end up with even more freckles. Tanning lotion would work to hide the brown spots, without leaving a lot of freckles. It would look weird to come in with a brown face but not the rest of me. More like one big brown spot. Unfortunately, there aren't many options for actually getting rid of brown spots. I've heard of skin lightening creams.
There are no permanent long term skin lightening creams, short of clown makeup. You could, though, try foundation to try to cover it up. That would be a lot of makeup. Try to determine if the brown spots are due to an allergic reaction or mold. I've heard of dark spots under the arms or breasts where you get the equivalent of athlete's foot or a fungal infection there. But my face is in the air and in the sun, the same treatment you should use for fungus. If you are sweating heavily where your glasses or sunglasses rest on your face, you can develop.
Brown spots because of that. That's a new argument for laser eye surgery. Or contact lenses. Any other solutions If you were older, I'd say they might be liver spots. My liver is a lot lower than my face. You can end up with brown spots on your face due to liver problems. If that's the case, you want to see a doctor. I wonder if there are any other reasons brown spots like this should result in medical treatment. In some cases, spots and scaly red areas on the face are a precursor to skin cancer. See.
DermTV Preventing and Treating Foot Fungus DermTV Epi 268
Music Hello, I'm Dr. Neal Schultz pause and welcome to DermTV. When people find out that they have a fungus infection on the bottom of their feet they act very surprised and shocked because they equate fungus infections, and especially on the bottom of the feet, with being dirty or not being clean and they insist that they have good hygiene and that they are clean. Well, the reality is that fungus infections on the bottom of the feet have nothing to do with how clean you are or your routines of hygiene.
And as a matter of fact, they're just a normal part of life and you can even consider them part of the food chain in this case, the fungus is the predator and you are the food. Consider these facts. Fungi are everywhere. They're in your house. They're in my house. They're in your office. They're in my office. They're everywhere. Fungi thrive on dead skin they do very well nutritionally when they eat dead skin. The bottom of your feet have a lot of dead skin. Fungi thrive in wet, moist, environments. When your feet.
Sweat, that's a wet, moist environment. Add all those facts up and it's not surprising that sweaty feet are an ideal environment and nutrient atmosphere for fungi to grow, thrive and infect. And that's why almost half of all adults have fungus infections on the bottom of their feet. So this is what you can do to try to decrease the chance of having a fungus infection on the bottom of your foot. First of all, exfoliate the bottom of your feet every day. Exfoliation removes dead skin. If there's less dead.
Skin, there's less nutrient material for the fungus to grow on. Powder your shoes or your socks every day to help absorb moisture to decrease the wetness in your shoes. If you sweat a lot, carry two or three extra changes of socks or stockings with you, again, to try to keep things dry. And try to avoid wearing footwear that makes you sweat a lot, like sneakers and boots. This is the bottom line, if you see flaking on the bottom of your feet or if you see little white scales or little white lines in the creases.

Body Odor Changes During Menopause
What on Earth is going on with the body odor changes during menopause Like many other female issues, it can be blamed on hormones. With my period over, no, I can't. Menopause is a lack of specific hormones, so yes, it is. Are you mad, or is that a bad hot flash Close enough. What specifically is causing these body odor changes For some women, you get an increased risk of yeast infections. That would explain a sour or fishy odor. This is more like an old man's smell. Your body has shifted gears and now has less estrogen. That affects your body's chemistry.
While I am getting old, I'm not turning into a guy. What I meant is that you may sense the changes because of the decreased estrogen levels. I heard it might be a nutritional deficit. A lack of zinc can cause bad body odor. Or you just need aluminum chlorohydrate. I've never heard of that. Can I get it by cooking everything in aluminum foil Aluminum chlorohydrate is a common compound in underarm deodorant. What else could be causing it When you have hot flashes, you're probably sweating, too. The problem may simply be extra.
BO solved by deodorant and frequent bathing. Now you're talking to me like I'm a teenaged boy. The odor is sometimes caused by changes in vaginal pH. That you'd want to consult with an OBGYN about. I think there are a lot of over the counter solutions for that. Sometimes women develop urine leakage with middle age. Maybe the odor you're picking up is due to that. A middle aged woman shouldn't have the same problems as a toddler. Let's just say this is a problem for the ages. Or it is a problem associated with getting older.
